Beaufort Wind Force Scale Poster

$30.00

“Today we have foce 5 wind. Great, what does it mean?
Translation: “Set sails sailors, we have a good breeze and a wind of about 20 knots”

With this poster, you will always have in mind the conversions between the Beaufort wind force scale and the wind speed in Km/h and Knots.

Created in 1805 by the British Admiral Francis Beaufort (1774-1857), the Beaufort scale measures the force of the wind in 13 degrees, from force 0 (Quiet) to force 12 (Hurricane). The Beaufort degree corresponds to the state of the sea according to the speed of the wind. We can observe the effects of the wind on the surface of the sea and thus deduce the corresponding Beaufort degree.
